A place for Dad
The staff is excellent, they have made my father fell welcome. I sleep well at night knowing he is there. They made the process seamless and I cannot say enough kind things

New building, very safe, very clean, super friendly staff. A great selection of food for dinner, lunch and breakfast overall, feeling of happiness and welcoming. Staff has been super helpful with any issues that have arisen. I'm from where to move in furniture and uh if she has a problem with her cable, they take care of it immediately.

The meals could be fresher and healthier but the people there are very nice. We would recommend Alexis Estates Gracious Retirement to other families, however it would depend on their loved ones needs.

The main area is very clean, could use some landscaping, flowers, grass where sprinkler lines are laying. We LOVE [name removed] and [name removed]! They are amazing!! They truly care!! Our loved one doesn't get "care" but they all seem to care. When it comes to the meals and dining some days are good and some are not so good. There are A LOT of activities! It is a good value but hate the yearly increases. He's on a fixed income. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families. My neighbor is moving her dad into Alexis bc of my recommendation

I like how close Alexis is to me that I can stop by frequently! Also like that there is Legacy Healthcare on-site as well as A Better Solution to help them stay in independent living. Like the courtyard and areas for sitting outside. Just started using the delivery for breakfast and that is super helpful. My parents could never get there at 8 AM and I did not know about the service. They need to be able to keep an activity director though and would appreciate some more variety of activities.

They have people work there that won’t take care of the residents! They take the money and no services ! Bad place! They are trash! To put it mildly! Would never recommend this place! Thanks for your concerns!

They have been really good to my loved one. They have plenty of activites, my loved one does not participate yet. The food could be improved, by adding a better quality of options. They take care of my loved one, keep the place clean, and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend to other families.

The meals are good, but they serve a lot of chicken and very little fruit. The fruit seems to be canned and not fresh. I would like to see more fresh options. The facility is clean. The staff is very receptive to me. I feel like I'm heard when I communicate with them. My sister is happy with them and likes it there. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure the residents have what they need. For instance, my sister misplaced her charger for her cell phone one day and was going to use the transportation to go to Walmart that afternoon. The staff got one for her and made sure her phone was charged for her trip. I visit about every other week and am very pleased. The activities are ok, they bring in entertainers and the residents seem to be satisfied with them and attendance seems high. Their bus service is great, also! They offer the help/call button necklace as well, which is very important to us. Housekeeping is once a week and they do a good job. I like that the facility is updated and more modern. I would definitely recommend this facility!

We moved my mom to Alexis from another state. She is independent and we were excited about everything they offered their residents to stay active and also form a sense of community. Her apartment is immaculate, staff is friendly, understanding and helpful. Highly recommend Alexis!

The staff are all very friendly. This community is for independent living and you can get as much assistance as you need or no assistant at all. It is all up to your loved one and what they feel that they need and if they need help in the community. The resident seem to be very happy here.

This community was fabulous and it happen to be our first choice. It was just too expensive for the budget we had for my loved one.

Alexis Estates is a lovely facility. It is very well appointed. It is small of course when you come from a home to an apartment it can be shocking. The advertising that they do coming from the cooperate office is not factual. They advertise independent living, but about 30-40% of the people here should be in assisted living. They do not have enough staff to assist everyone. Also the food is advertised with a great chef and 3 meals a day, which was a huge plus, but that is not the case here. The army has much better food than what is served here. The food is not presented well, and does not look good when it comes out. An evening meal on Sunday would be hot dogs and beans, which for the amount of money being spent, we should not get hot dogs and beans.

I'm pretty darn happy with them. I would tell people they should consider it here. I would also tell them that proximity is really important, having your loved one close to you. Alexis Estates is only a mile from my house, which I really enjoy. I know they take the residents to Walmart and on different shopping outings, so it's close by to different things. I see them in there cleaning regularly, and the housekeeper will stop and talk to me and let me know what's going on with my loved one. Lately my loved one with Alzheimer's has been mad at me, so they'll warn me ahead of time. She's had extra problems with her health since she moved in, and they've been very flexible, answering any questions and making sure she's comfortable. I can call the front desk and get an informal report on how she's doing, since I can't go in to see her. I feel like she's been a troublesome patient recently due to her Alzheimer's, and the employees there have really taken it in stride and worked with me to get things fixed and get my loved one to a better place. So I've been really happy with that. My mom's pretty picky, but she still seems to like the food. And she always seems to have plenty going on as far as activities go.

The community is clean, inviting, and safe. The staff seems to be very caring and helpful. Unfortunately, it was outside Mom's price range.

On my first review of Alexia Estates, I mentioned if you look for a rainbow in the sky, follow it as it will land on the rooftop of Alexis Estates Independent Retirement! My mom and I were so elated to what Alexis Estates offered her, especially comparing Alexis Estates to a more expensive Independent Care facility my mom came from. Unfortunately, at 94, she now resides above that rainbow! My mom had been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes but continued to keep the strength to return to Alexis Estates. It was family, comfort and the most awesome manager teams that lives on campus and is always present with a hug or talk of a dance! It is those 4 – [names removed] that make the difference! In addition, as my mom aged and needed more care, she could have not continued in Independent care had it not been for [name removed] with Senior Shield Caregiving (In-house care). She was my mom’s lifeline. And the embrace all five made to communicate and cover my mom’s needs plus make her life fun and comfortable… I just can’t thank them enough. I will miss stopping by! They make everyone’s life a joy to be around!

The staff are very helpful and even available after hours if needed. The food is really very good with a lot of menu options and my parents love that. The community is smaller and everyone knows each other. My parents have made a lot of friends. They offer a variety of activities to choose from. There is something for everyone. Their apartment is great. It is smaller but they really enjoy their balcony. Moving to this community has taken a lot of stress off on my parents and our family.

If you look in the sky over Allen and see a rainbow, follow it! It will take you to Alexis Estates Retirement where there is a warm, welcoming community. What differentiates Alexis Estates from any other retirement facility my 93 year old mom has lived in, is there are two lovely couples that live on campus and are ever-present.[Names removed] are the Perfect Management Team that touch base with every resident during meals, eats with the group and keeps an eye on anyone not eating, not attending and will then follow up. Plus the management team is just so loving which is so refreshing for those that don’t have love ones visiting. These folks become your family! The biggest advantage is if there is an emergency off-hours or you have fallen, you pull the cord or beep your alarm and someone from the management team is there in 10 minutes! Alexis Estates has a 24 hour ice cream machine in the Bistro (!), fresh fruit, coffee and homemade bake goods available, 3 really delicious meals, 3 excellent care giving companies to choose from for aging-in-place, a Physical Therapist on-property, monthly family events and tons of activities during the day to do or attend externally. So well organized, run by just the warmest, loving managers leading to a very happy community! You have found Oz!! And I thank you for all the support you provided my mom. Just no comparison!
