The decision was not an easy one, but seeing how my Dad smiles and has improved, and the waves and greetings he gets from all the staff, we know we made a good decision. I visited about ten communities in the Lehigh Valley. It was apparent from the beginning that Country Meadows is special. My mother was very reluctant to leave her home but she quickly adjusted to life at Country Meadows. Making new friends, enjoying a wide range of activities, field trips and country rides keep her engaged. She initially lived in the Personal Care building but has since transitioned to Memory Care and she has received very good care in both. The staff at Country Meadows goes above and beyond their duty. From marketing to the nursing staff to maintenance all are excellent. My mother doesn’t always remember the name Country Meadows so she refers to it as “the place where people treat me so nice”. His needs were communicated to me in a timely fashion and transport for appointments were managed seamlessly. In addition, his apartment was kept very clean. He enjoyed being able to go the dining room and order from a menu and socialize a bit.
