Morningside of Belmont review
Morningside has been great and seems to be a good fit for Scott. He wanted to move there. I feel like he is safe, staff checks on him and he loves the food.

They're friendly In my case they've been good about being proactive regarding my mother's care, such as getting in touch with PT services when it seems she needs a "refresher," which i imagine is common They of course benefit from this too because it makes the difference between a one vs two person standing assist. Conserves resources. Still helpful though.

We chose Morningside of Belmont because of their seemingly sincere concern for each residents well being. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful during my loved ones stay.

When I arrived I was very confused. I developed clarity in the early months thanks to the caring and effective staff. I also appreciate the hospitality of the residents and their friendships. This a healthy and caring company.

[name removed] with admissions and [name removed] at the nurses station are top notch. The facility is adequate and nothing fancy but many rooms are newly renovated and easy to maneuver the whole facility.

I like the facility, they are great with my mom. They do have staff turn over and as a result it was hard to get responses without escalation to the Director, but he was able to assist me in getting what I need. The staff and the residents are all very friendly. Love the atmosphere. They clean my mom's apartment every week and check on her regularly. They always have lots of activities to do. I would recommend for sure, for the money.

Great area, good facility. Highly recommend. We picked this community because of the cost, location, and staff.

We picked this community because, the room had a nice view. I knew some of the residents from our church. It's a more comfortable, and down-to -earth environment. The entire staff, goes above and beyond. The care for the residents is top notch. It's a family atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and this community was awesome, it overall was an awesome experience. The lady that took us on the tour was fantastic and did a really nice job following up with us. We had no issues with this community at all and was a solid choice.

We really like all the different activities they have going on for the residents there - between bingo, different board games and bringing in live entertainment to play some music. We think the meals could use some improvement, we think it may be the quality of the meals.

My parents’ main problem with Morningside is that the food is simply not edible. Their expenses are much higher than they should be because they have to buy groceries yet they are limited in what they are able to cook since they only have a microwave. It doesn’t help that the wait staff ignores them or is just outright rude. The dining room manager’s son needs to go and his daughter is a pest. And the activities are so lame for the ones who are independent. Coloring? Really?? How about using the bus to take folks to the Frist or Cheekwood or anywhere entertaining.

Sadly, our experience at Morningside of Belmont has gone down hill since my mother arrived in March. It started out seemingly wonderful... but has declined in many areas. It is stressful enough to age, but to in a building that is under MAJOR construction and be moved about, living in dust, not treated with extra care and comfort in the midst of how hard it is, etc. is just so hard. Plus, the dining experience is AWFUL. I have come myself so that I could experience things first hand. Words cannot describe the level of disarray. While there are KIND employees for whom I am VERY grateful, the conditions at this facility are heartbreaking. The hardest part is we are in a financial bind and cannot just afford to pick up and move my mother somewhere else easily. I am heart-broken over what the residents are having to experience. I have reduced my stars from 5 to 1. I am praying something major happens to improve the experience of the residents.

The facility was ok/very diverse and seemed to have good social setting, but the sales approach was not to my liking. I think there was too much focus on my mom being a liability versus just touring the facility and selling it. Seemed to me they had too many residents and too few staff. The rooms were older style and price was more than other newer facilities.

This community looked nice and well taken care of when we toured it. This community offers rehabilitation services and respite stays. They offer restaurant style dining and a range of social activities. They have an in house beauty salon as well as an activity room.

My mother moved to Mornigside of Belmont six months ago. She was spending far too much time alone, and we were professionally counseled that she needed socialization. We were all apprehensive at first, but now she says “this really feels like home, I’m so glad to be here”. Nothing thrills our hearts more. The staff is wonderful... friendly, attentive and kind. My mother in law was a good cook and really enjoys the meals… there is always much to choose from on the menu. We enjoy the food too. The activity calendar is full of good stuff, art, creative writing, exercise, book club, outings to restaurants & shopping, and plenty of music activities from Nashville artists, Belmont University students and resident sing-a-longs. Belmont University campus borders Mornigside’s parking lot and is a beautiful walk through rose gardens, fountains, and another peaceful environment. [Removed]

My dad is eating well and living in a clean community. It is a little early to join but the community offers activities for everyone. He is on the 5th floor and has a nice room with a sun room. The bathrooms come with hand rails. It has been a good experience. My issue is calling the staff to make sure they do as they say. I also don't like the assigned seats in the dining room. It does not lead to meeting new people.

My parents live @ Morningside of Belmont and I could not be more disappointed about their living conditions this past year. The restaurant and kitchen service are beyond poor. Several management changes in the restaurant during the year, cook and servers not showing up for work, food is not good. Director left, after a few months, a new director is on the premises, activity director was fired. The kitchen sink in my parents apartment has been stopped up on various occasions, and this last week being reported every day, no one has addressed this issue. There is black mess backing up in the sink and the faucet leaks. Attempted to turn the water off, but turn off valves under the sink would not turn. During this past week end a bathroom ceiling tile, saturated with water fell and barely missed my dad in the bathroom. The maintenance person came in and stuffed the wet tile back in the ceiling and put a piece of plastic underneath it. I would definitely not place my parents here if I had it to do over .There are other issues also,
