Great Place for Dad Too!
Can’t say enough about the Palms. The clean and beautiful living arrangements make for a warm and comfortable experience for both the residents and guests. But more importantly, what you will notice after spending some time on property; is the warm and caring staff that make all the difference between the Palms and the other senior assisted living facilities. Exploring The Palms as a place for Dad, I found that from the director of sales to the head of nursing, a knowledge and understanding that made for an easy decision out of what could have been an extremely emotional and difficult one! Great Place for Dad Too!

Very friendly
I enjoy living at The Palms, the staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoy the activities and have made a few good friends; they are very considerate and easy to talk too My apartment is nice. My family chose The Palms and I'm happy they did!

Great place for social people.
I moved to The Palms at Bonaventure about a year ago and I love the ability to be social! They provide all different kinds of opportunities to meet people and have fun. I particularly enjoy the weekly happy hour event and all of the big monthly events. The staff is caring and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is fun!

Beautiful community
I visited this community for my mom. I lived in Arizona, and she lived in Ventura and we were looking for more care for her as she was aging. In the end, Mom ended up moving to Arizona, but the level of warmth, care, and follow-up by the team was phenomenal. They invited us to have lunch, which was good. The community is truly beautiful. I loved the trails out back and the beauty of it being a little outside the city with parks, views, and serenity. I also really loved all of the directors and their level of care. We will move to the Palms if we go back to Ventura!

Lovely facility - a great fit for my dad!
The staff is pleasant and patient with my dad. They keep me updated on anything that may be happening with him. He loves it there!
His room size is a bit small but he seems to have made it work. The amenities are wonderful.

Genuinely Caring Staff
The Palms staff were exceptional, displaying a high level of competence and genuine care towards their guests. From the moment my Mother arrived, they welcomed her with warm smiles and a willingness to assist her throughout her time there.
What truly set them apart, however, was their genuine care for the well-being and comfort of my mother. They went above and beyond to ensure that she felt at home. They showed a sincere interest in making sure she had the best possible experience.
Their caring nature extended beyond their professional duties. They took the time to engage in meaningful conversations, getting to know her on a personal level, and making her feel appreciated. This personalized approach made her feel like more than just a patient, but rather a part of a warm and welcoming home community.

The Palms is my Home!
I moved to The Palms about five years ago when my loving husband of over 40 years needed Memory Care. I can say with all my heart that the Memory Care Caregivers are my Angels. They took such wonderful care of my husband. Just seeing the love and care they gave him put my mind and heart at ease. After he passed away I chose to stay living at The Palms in their Assisted Living community. it's my home. I have made many friends here. I love the people, the care I receive, the delicious food, and most of all, the activities. Living here has enhanced my life more than I could ever imagine. I think the staff are really friendly and helpful, especially considering my loved one's attitude sometimes. They do the best they can. And the facility always seems clean. With the food, I think they just oversold it. They make it sound gourmet, when in reality it is more like cafeteria food.

Tour of The Palms
We had a wonderful tour with Palms at Bonaventure. The facility was absolutely beautiful and reminded me of a cruise ship. My dad was looking for something more homey feeling, so the atmosphere just did not fit his personality.

We feel confident we got my mom into the right place for care.
The staff seems to be concerned about my mom. They seem to be very attentive. The facility is very clean, and it's a very friendly community. It's working out so far so good. We definitely plan on keeping her there.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and we can say they really put no their best show. The offered us lunch during our tour which was nice, and we were very impressed with all the information they were giving us.

It is a nice facility
The value is pretty reasonable and we do believe they are trying their best. They had to shut down the activities within the facility for awhile but they have started to slowly bring them back with limited people able to participate. They have also started the second round of vaccinations. They have a wonderful well tended to grounds with walking pads, a lot of greenery and bird feeders. It is really well set up.

Like living in a luxury hotel
The Palms community is a very nice place, it is pretty and very clean. It is like living in a luxury hotel. Some activities the have for the residents are singing groups and games. From our understanding the food has been pretty good and he really likes the variety.

The palms, offered much to your loved ones
It was a very caring community and they provided excellent food. They helped out the residents whenever they needed something. The facilities were excellent. My sister's room was great. They have a beautiful dining room, chapel, library, and really everything you could ever need. We chose this community because is was reasonable, their nursing services were outstanding, and I really felt I was able to work well with the administrator and her her assistant.

We chose to take our loved one out, due in part to a point system that raised costs (with very little notice) and we could not see the increased level of care after the price increased!
The facility looks great from the outside. The rooms are fairly large. But sadly of average cleanliness (it should have been better). Most of the staff were friendly although it truly depended on the staff on duty. Weekly staff (were for the most part) 'nice', however I had concerns about a couple of the RA's/Caregivers on the week end staff. My loved one was in the memory care facility and I found my loved one in clothes that were on backwards and hair disheveled. This concerned me deeply as these patients need help dressing. Overall a 3 star rating

A Feeling of Home
My mother-in-law finally had to take advantage of assisted living after a life of independence. It took a lot of searching for just the right place and we were happy when she consented to take residence in The Palms. My family has found her move to this facility to be a good fit for her and us.
The employees and administrators are easy to work with and we can see a big difference in my mother's attitude about this change in her life. We have shared meals with her in the awesome dining room and I have given my compliments to the chef. We are sleeping better knowing she is in a safe and watchful environment.

I think well of this community!!
During the tour we were able to share a meal with some of the residents. The food was good and we got to get an honest look at the community. The one issue I did see is that they only have a Nurse on duty for 16 hours a day and the other 8 it was a CNA. My wife's needs require 24 hour supervision and this situation did not work for her.
